K1B Special Event Station Paying Tribute to P.T. Barnum

K1B commemorates the life of Phineas Taylor Barnum (July 5, 1810 – April 7, 1891). He was born in Bethel, CT.   Barnum is best known for the circus bearing his name. The Greatest Show on Earth said its final farewell on May 21, 2017. Other, lesser known accomplishments include his tenure as the mayor of Bridgeport, CT; co-founder of the still active ferry line to Long Island, NY; and as a politician in the Connecticut State Legislature.
