JOTA (Jamboree-on-the-Air ) is an annual event in which Boy and Girl Scouts and Guides from all over the world speak to each other by means of Amateur Radio. This year Connecticut's Pomeraug District scheduled their Fall Camporee at Putnam Memorial Park to coincide with JOTA. GBARC members and Derby OEM set up radio equipment and antennas at the campground in order to provide an opportunity for Scouts to get on the air. Many contacts were made during the day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience as you can see from the pictures. |
