Most GBARC members are also Derby Office of Emergency Management volunteers. We constructed, maintain and operate the amateur radio facilities, W1DBY, located at the OEM communications center in the Derby, Connecticut city hall. Click for map.
Antennas
The antennas are located on the roof of the building and connected to the equipment with low loss cable.

With remote access to the N1KGN 441.700 MHz repeater in Milford, we are able to provide direct links to other Connecticut repeaters and linked repeater systems as needed from theDerby EOC.
Additionally, the EOC contains printers, FAX machines and telephones. A back-up generator is available in the event of a power failure. |
